Aruga!
"Good afternoon, here's the news. Great booga-booga from aruga mamu dada job center. My killa brong-brong lock to me snuck over tea while I present this iggy-iggy head-call."
I've a bit of obsession with identifying samples, especially the dub/reggae ones because they're most difficult. The difficulty is the lingo which I mostly don't understand, but that's what they're saying. I don't know what that is or where it comes from but I'd sure love to check it out. I'd love to figure out a way to sneak in things like "Great booga-booga" into my daily lexicon.
Pat laid one on me the other day, "I'd rather eat my ass." I've been waiting to lay it on someone and I've got it ready to go if the occasion should arise. I almost found an opportunity the other day during a conversation with my father in law, which would have been great, but it didn't fit exactly right. I mean for something like "I'd rather eat my ass" the mood has to be right and the context has to be perfect and really the audience needs to be primed and ready.
Here's some of the definitions I found in the Urban Dictionary that fit the context of the above statement:
"Booga-Booga" -
Crazy; Forronious; Strange-abnormal; Just 'out there'
"Aruga" - A call or greeting, informal. An acknowledgement of notice.
"Mamu" -
A dangerous person especially in the higher hierarchy
"Dada" - The boss, the Hnic,
the man running things without question. of subcontinental origin.
literally means 'paternal grandfather.' can also be used
sarcastically/derogatorily depending on context.
"Iggy-iggy" - An iggy youth is usually someone destined to be an
alcoholic or screw-up later in life.
...I'm not sure what "head-call" means or if I even interpreted the sample right. Sounded like "head-cough" actually.
