Dead as a doornail
I scored this wondrous piece of gear while on vacation. It's a fan that's got a small led strip embedded in one of the clear plastic fan blades. By manipulating the red buttons one can program in several short messages that appear when the fan is on.
I used it for about ten minutes after I got it, programmed in "I FARTED! HAHA!" and that was it. Next time I tried to use it the thing was completely dead. I guess it doesn't have an auto shutoff feature and perhaps maybe I left it on. Who the heck knows. The bummer is just like everything else that requires alkaline batteries these days, the battery door is screwed down. Not only do I need to score a set of batteries, I also need to find someone around here that's got one of those tiny eyeglass screwdrivers. I might as well be asking around for ten pounds of dilithium.
