I got 'Double-Lidded' at Caribou today
I noticed an odd hissing and lack of proper sipping "suction" with each sip of my afternoon skim latte from Caribou Coffee. I didn't bother to look but sure as heck wondered what was going on. Finally, upon close inspection, I discovered that I'd been 'Double-Lidded':
That's right, they gave me two lids, both seated almost perfectly, one being slightly off-center from the other and letting air into each sip from between the two lids.
It took minimal work to separate the two lids while photographing the ordeal. In doing so I spilled a small amount of tepid latte on my desk and got some on my hand, which I licked off using the same slurping action that I use while sipping said latte.
Yes, it is Monday and yes, it is very, very slow.
